When you are our guest here at the Hotel Continental, we provide you with personal assistance for any of your questions. For the sake of simplicity, we have compiled information on some of the most important things. We are at your service at any time for any other questions you may have.


Arrival in Zermatt

Zermatt is a car-free village. Cars already start their holidays five kilometres away from Zermatt, at the car park in Täsch. From Täsch, the Matterhorn Gotthard Railway runs in 20-minute intervals to Zermatt. A taxi service is also available on request.

From the international airports of Zurich-Kloten and Geneva you can also reach your destination in a few hours. After changing trains in Visp, you can reach Zermatt by the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn in about 1 h 10 min.

Check-in / Check-out

Check-in is after 3 p.m. on the day of your arrival, and checkout is prior to 11 a.m. on the day of your departure. The reception is not manned after 16:00 (self check-in).

Be treated to a lavish breakfast buffet, served every morning from 7.30 a.m. to 10.00 a.m.


Guests are welcome to leave their luggage at the hotel.

You can also benefit from free luggage transportation


Pets are permitted in the hotel at a cost of CHF 25.00 per night. Pets must always be accompanied by their owners.


We would be happy to provide you with cots or cribs, or to reserve a family room for you.

Cable-car tickets/ski passes

Ski passes may be purchased from the ticket office at the Gornergrat Bahn. Guests are welcome to leave their equipment in the hotel’s ski room, which also features heated ski boot lockers.

TV and radio

Your room offers cable TV and digital radio, including stations from around the world.

Wireless Internet

Wireless Internet is available at no charge in all rooms and public areas of the hotel.
